Milwaukee, WI (Future150) -- Marquette basketball made a splash on Tuesday with the hiring of Duke assistant basketball coach Steve Wojciechowski. Just one day later, the program took a hit, with prized 2015 recruit Nick Noskowiak deciding to re-open his recruitment.
The 6-foot-2 point guard is currently ranked as the #77 prospect nationally in the junior class, according to Future150. This past summer, he impressed our staff at the 2013 Under Armour Summer Jam, where he played with the Wisconsin Playground Warriors. This is what we had to say about him in July.
"Marquette has locked in a commitment from the local point guard, and with good reason. He is one of the most fun prospects to watch in his class. He plays with excellent pace, has a tight handle, as well as excellent court vision. He impresses us more every time we see him. When his jump shot is falling, his game goes to another level. Expect him to be a top 75 prospect by the time his senior season rolls around."
While it is clear that he still loves the school and has been impressed by Coach Wojo, he wants the new coach and his staff to recruit him and show how badly they want him, just as former head coach Buzz Williams had.
Since opening up his recruitment, Noskowiak has already received offers from Creighton and Xavier.
