Nashville, TN (Future150) -- Indiana Elite point guard Hyron Edwards made a splash on a national level two springs ago with his fantastic speed and crafty finishing ability around the rim. Since then, his name has cooled a bit nationally.

However, Edwards has used this spring to put his name back on the map, and new schools are getting involved in his recruitment. After seeing him at the Adidas Gauntlet Orlando a few weeks back, he acknowledged that several new schools have been in contact with him.

California, Creighton, Virginia Tech & West Virginia have all been in contact, with the Bears making a push for him after former Tennessee head coach Cuonzo Martin headed to Berkeley.

After evaluating him this spring, it's evident that he has improved his athleticism and explosion, as well as his perimeter jump shot. Purdue looks to have the inside track on Edwards to this point, and he has recently stated that he would like to make a college decision by the end of July.

It's important to note that Indiana Elite shooting guard and teammate Ryan Cline committed to the Boilermakers a few weeks back.

Currently, Edwards sits at #105 in the national rankings.
