Taurean Thompson has always had a ton of potential, but injuries had always prohibited him from really tapping into it during his first two high school seasons. That's not the case anymore. After having a good junior year at New Jersey powerhouse St. Anthony's, Thompson drew interest from a number of programs.
Then he had a very good AAU season, before missing time with another injury. Still, Thompson played well enough to draw interest from bigger programs. After bouncing back yet again, and proving himself at Brewster Academy, his recruitment is set to explode. Seton Hall and Syracuse have been quietly working to garner a commitment from him for a few months now, and the Orange even got him on campus. He had this to say about the ACC program:
