Orlando, FL (Future150) -- The Murray State Racers program continues to build on its recent hardwood success, especially on the recruiting trail.
That has never been more evident than on Sunday when head coach Steve Prohm landed a commitment from the No. 125 prospect in the 2013 class, Jones High School (FL) standout Demarcus Croaker.
Croaker, a 6-foot-4 guard, had an official visit over the weekend that assured him of his decision.
"My visit had a really big impact," he told Future150.com. "Everyone already knew me. Fans were going crazy that I was there."
Croaker also had a nice discussion with arguably the best guard in college basketball this year.
"Talking with Isaiah Canaan this weekend influenced my decision a lot. I thought Murray State was the best fit for me."
"They win championships and I have been their No. 1 priority since day one of my recruitment. Meeting with the coaching staff and hanging out with the players was great."
The Racers edged out the Texas Longhorns for his services, and also had scholarship offers from several other big name programs.
Croaker joins point guard Cameron Payne and JUCO standout Jarvis Williams.
