Future150 GM / Senior National Analyst. Covering high and middle school basketball.

Santa Ana, CA (Future150) -- Mater Dei High School (CA) has put together an extremely successful high season on the hardwood, currently sitting at 34-0 behind standout play from several high major prospects, including Arizona-bound wing Stanley Johnson, 2015 shooting guard Rex Pflueger, and 2016 post M.J. Cage.

A forgotten ingredient in the success of the team has been the steady and consistent guard play of La'Vette Parker.

The 6-footer was integral in Mater Dei's latest victory, a 59-54 win over Westchester (CA), a game where Parker scored 15 points.

His strong play from the perimeter has gained him attention all season long. At the 2014 Hoop Hall Classic, he caught the eye of our staff with his long range shooting and high basketball IQ.

Schools in the Mountain West Conference are beginning to monitor the high academic student-athlete, with Boise State, Nevada & San Jose State all showing interest this season.

On the season, he has averaged 10 points and three rebounds per game, which aren't eye-popping numbers, but ones that are impressive for such a star-studded roster. His shooting numbers, however, are extremely impressive, including 49% from the field, 44% from three-point range, and 90% on free throws.

Playing with Cal Supreme this AAU season, don't be surprised if he is making waves with his perimeter shooting and ability to direct a team. Stay tuned to Future150 for updates on his recruitment.

I’m REALLY REALLY proud you, Le’Vette! Keep it up and you will be surprise how far you can go, and you will make your parents, and grandparents so proud of you! Wish I could have seen some of your games here in Alabama. But what I read sound like they were awesome! Good Luck for the future!

Congratulation LaVette!  This is definitely your SEASON.  Always remember “success begins with a will and it’s all in your state of mind.  Life battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man, but sooner or later the man who wins is the man who thinks he can!”  Keep up the good work.  I can hear the announcer in the NBA saying…. Parker for three and its good!  Parker showed up and out tonight folks.  This city loves this guy great person on and off the court.  That’s game folks it’s been an exciting night.
Love You…..
