Starkville, MS (Future150) -- 2015 Velma Jackson (MS) G Quinndary Weatherspoon decided to end his recruitment on Wednesday, picking local Mississippi State over offers from the likes of Ole Miss, Tennessee Wake Forest, and others.
The 6-foot-5 wing first came onto the scene at Future150 Birmingham Camp last fall, and afterward, his game completely took off this spring and summer on the Nike EYBL circuit while playing with the Jackson Tigers.
A born scorer, the talented shooting guard uses his supremse shooting ability and length to get baskets over the top of the defense. He's also a very skilled slasher who knows how to finish around the basket.
As a junior, he averaged 16.7 points and 5.7 rebounds while leading his high school team to a 3A state title. On the EYBL circuit, he took his game to another level, averaging 15.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
He's the third prospect to commit in a strong Bulldog class, joining Tookie Brown and Joseph Struggs.
Currently, Weatherspoon is ranked #95 in the country by Future150.com
