Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- It is typical for college coaches to show recruits they are a big priority, especially when they are juniors or seniors and the coaches take in several games/practices.
Mississippi State fits that mold with Jordan Harris, but there is only one minor difference - Harris is only a freshman.
Standing 6-foot-3, the Seminole County (GA) product has received ten letters from the Bulldog staff, including five in one day last week.
"It feels good and all, but I use it all for motivation right now," Harris told Future150.com regarding his abundance of mail.
Well, that motivation paid off, as the 2016 product received another letter on Wednesday. This time, it was a scholarship offer from Rick Ray's Mississippi State Bulldogs.
"I get pushed to get better every day and at the end of the day, I get rewarded with things like [a scholarship offer]."
The Bulldogs join George Mason as the two schools to extend offers to the southpaw. Virginia Tech, Boston University, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, UTEP, Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma State, Xavier and others are involved as well.
Look for Harris' hard work to continue to add him more offers over his freshman season.
Comments:
Congrads Jharr. I must say I am truly proud of you not because of the write ups or the offers but bc I know the hardwork you have put in and all the sacrifices you have made.
Most people see only the on court success, the letters and hear all the hype. Just remember success is never instant but rather its a long and tiring process.
Keep building. Keeping improving and working hard when nobody is watching and cheering. Keeping being the humble and stay focus, and never forget - success is never final…
