Birmingham, AL (Future150) -- The spring evaluation periods are always interesting because a number of teams and players go from unknowns to national names. For point guard Deanthony Tipler, that process has just begun.

Playing for one of the best non-sponsored AAU teams in the country, Da House, Tipler is counted on to run the show. With one of the top sophomores in the country in Robert Woodard and a high major big man in Javian Fleming to pass to, the lead guard doesn't lack for options.

"I really like playing with these guys because they know when to move the ball and when to take their own shots, they make things really easy on me," Tipler said.

Da House played in a couple of big time events in April, and made it clear that they are a force to be reckoned with. It was Tipler's first time playing in major events, and it opened his eyes up a bit.

"It was a good experience because I never played in front of a lot of colleges before, my last team I played with we didn't get to play in front of coaches like that so it was an exciting thing for me" said Tipler.

At 5-foot-11, he is a little undersized, but more than makes up for it with his speed and ability to create. He has a fantastic feel for the game and tremendous vision as well. He created easy looks for his teammates throughout the Birmingham Main Event and has the tools to be a high major lead guard.

Colleges have yet to reach out to him, but it's only a matter of time before that happens for the Ashland product. The smart bet is on the fact that interest and offers will be flowing for the lead guard by the time colleges can contact him directly.
