West Deptford, NJ (Future150) -- The fall camp circuit is always highly intriguing because it gives evaluators the chance to see a lot of kids in a short amount of time. While it's a bit harder to fully evaluate in a camp setting for a number of reasons, it also provides a decent benchmark for what a player is more often than not.
For First Love Christian shooting guard Naim Miller, this Fall has been a way to help boost his stock around the country. At the Jim Couch showcase, he did just that. A very good shooter at 6-foot-4, Miller created a buzz for himself by knocking down a number of threes.
"It's been a lot of fun because a lot of western Pennsylvania kids don't really get to go out and play out of state a lot so I've been really enjoying it," he said of the experience.
Buffalo was the first to offer, and Central Connecticut State joined the Bulls shortly after. Youngstown State, Canisius, Duquesne and Iona have all begun to show interest, while WVU and Rutgers have both been at his high school to see a talented First Love Christian Academy squad this fall.
Playing with an upstart AAU program in the Pittsburgh-based TTG group, Miller was able to snag his first offer, it will certainly be interesting to see how many more he will garner as his career continues to progress.
