Greensboro, NC (Future150) -- Class of 2018 SG Tre Turner has been producing some pretty good numbers and averages since his Sophomore year at Northwest Guilford (NC) got started. His play continues to improve, which is why he is continuing to see more and more schools start to get in touch with him.
"The season has been going pretty good, right now I'm averaging 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals per game," Turner said.
Turner's biggest improvement has seemingly been on the defensive end as he is learning to use his long wingspan to wreak havoc in the passing lanes and get easy buckets in transition. His shooting stroke from deep is as sweet as it's always been, but now he's learning to score the ball on all three levels consistently as well.
The school from College Park, MD looks like they are starting to see the high major potential that Turner possesses on both ends of the court.
"My recruitment is continually getting stronger, Maryland has been showing interest and I'm going on a (unofficial) visit on January 16th to watch them play Ohio State," Turner said.
The Terps aren't the only school that has gotten involved with Turner as East Carolina, NC State, Virginia, Wake Forest, and Yale have been keeping an eye on him as well.
If he continues to improve and produce at this rate you would have to think he is in good standing to have a handful of high major offers once his upperclassmen years start to roll around.
Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track Turner's progress and recruitment.
