Memphis, TN (Future150) -- It's no secret that Memphis, Tennessee is one of the largest hotbeds for prep basketball talent in the country. Every year, several of the cities best basketball talents sign scholarships to play at division one universities.
One prospect of that caliber who has been floating under the radar is now emerging during his senior season in a big way; Fatodd Lewis.
The 6-foot-7 combo forward has been dominant so far this season, including an eye-popping 50 point, 15 rebound performance against Cordova (TN) a few weeks ago.
While many people outside the city of Memphis aren't aware of Lewis, we have seen him several times this year, including the 10aC Elite Top 20 Elite Showcase, an all-star game featuring the best prospects in the state of Tennessee in the classes of 2014, 2015, and 2016.
While he was set to play with nationally known Team Thad during the summer, he ended up not traveling with the team. However, he did play with them during the spring, carving his own niche in an absolutely loaded rotation of high major prospects.
If he did play with them in the summer, he would have a lot more buzz around him currently. As it stands, I saw a low to mid major prospect during the spring, a kid who grinds in the low block but has the ability to stretch the defense with a jump shot he can knock down out to three-point range.
Expect several schools to come calling over the coming months as he continues to put up big scoring and rebounding numbers in one of America's most talent rich cities.
