Phoenix, AZ (Future150) -- When you're anointed as the #1 player in the country at a young age, expectations and pressure can end up damaging a prospect before he even hits the high school hardwood.
That isn't the case with Gilbert Christian (AZ) forward Marvin Bagley, who keeps proving time and time again that he is the most dominant middle school basketball player in the country.
The 6-foot-9 wing has skills well beyond his years. He has the dribbling and shooting skills of a guard, and the post game of a big man. The youngster has already drawn comparions to current Miami Heat player Michael Beasley, who at one time was the brightest young star in the game of basketball.
As an eighth grader, he already claims offers from Arizona State, Creighton, Northern Arizona and San Francisco, with many more to follow.
I had a chance to see Bagley play this past May in New Orleans at the Primetime Super 60. He dominated action all weekend long and led his We All Can Go AAU team to a championship to cap off a phenomenal trip.
This year, expect to hear more about the phenom, especially when AAU season heats up in the summer.
