Norman, OK (Future150) -- The Sooners have one of the best classes in the Big 12, two of the three players in this class should directly help ease the loss of superstar Buddy Heild. Coach Lon Kruger continues to bring quality talent into Norman very quietly.
Kameron McGusty, 4-star prospect, Seven Lakes, TX: McGusty is a SG with a college ready body at 6'5 and 180 lbs. He is a pure shooter from every where on the court and possesses good ball handling skills and athleticism. McGusty should have a role with the Sooners from day one and could become one of the most complete players in the Big 12 with a little more work on the defensive end.
Kristian Doolittle, 4-star prospect, Memorial, OK: Another player coming in that should help ease the loss of Buddy Heild, Doolittle is a scoring wing that thrives by putting the ball on the floor. He has good IQ and knows when to use the paint to his advantage when guarded by smaller defenders. His rebounding skills are also very good for that of a 6'6 wing. Doolittle may take a little more time than McGusty to get adjusted to the next level but the potential and skills are there nonetheless. Expect him to be a great three or four year player under Coach Kruger.
Matt Freeman, 3-star prospect, Westlake Boys, New Zealand: Freeman is an international prospect that most outlets list as a power forward or center. At 6'10 Freeman is a pretty good shooter from mid-range and can easily knock down the trey ball if he is left open. He runs the floor extremely well for a big man, but will need to develop more go to moves in the post if he wants to max out his potential. His shooting abilities at his position will be a luxury to have for the Sooners, but he could become a big time force if he is a true threat to score in and outside of the paint. It will be very interesting to watch and see how he develops during his time as a college athlete in America.
