Metuchen, NJ (Future150) -- Karl Towns Jr., the 6'10" big man out of St. Joseph's High School, (NJ) made his college decision on Tuesday morning, picking the Kentucky Wildcats over Duke and Florida.
While nobody was surprised by his college choice, he did make news by letting the nation know that he will be reclassifying to the class of 2014.
After averaging 11.3 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game last season, Towns is now focused on taking extra classes in each of the next two years while improving his game before taking his talents to Lexington.
Now that he is a member of the class of 2014 instead of 2015, expect him to land somewhere in the top 10 when Future150 releases our updated national rankings in the spring.
