Florrisant, MO (Future150) -- Xavier Sneed gave Bruce Weber and Co. their first commitment in the 2016 class in the form of an athletic, high energy wing. Sneed played with Jayson Tatum and the St. Louis Eagles during the AAU season. You have to think he benefited from practicing against the Duke commit.
Sneed really exploded onto the scene over the summer as he had offers from Cincinnatti, Creighton, Illinois, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, Saint Louis, Wichita State, and Xavier on his list. Eventually it came down to Illinois, Kansas State, and Xavier. With the Wildcats winning out a tough recruiting battle.
Xavier should be a fan favorite in Manhattan from the start as he will be a hard worker and will bring the house down quite often with some rim rattling dunks. Sneed will more than likely be a three or four year player, and possibly starter depending on the talent that will be infront of him during his underclassmen years.
As for the rest of the outlook on the 2016 class this may very well be their only guy. They are in decent standing with big men Edward Ekiyor and Khadim Sy, but nothing else looks promised. Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track what other K-State recruits will be deciding to do.
