DALLAS, TX (Future150) -- The spectacular Billy Preston left Redondo Union High School earlier this month.

"We are definitely moving toward the Prep School situation," said mother Nicole Player two weeks ago.  "Redondo has a block schedule...that didn't fit."

Now Preston plays for Prime Prep (TX).

This week Kansas Head Coach Bill Self extended an offer to the explosive wing.

"He is a natural guard," said AAU Coach Etop Udo-Ema.
"He has a big body though.  He can play bully ball too, but he is a natural guard.

Preston is one of many exceptional magic men.

"I have a kid named Jaylen Hands, as well," said Coach Udo-Ema.  "Hands plays in that age group.  We have a pretty good class."

Recruitment

Preston impressed nearly every West Coast recruiter during the AAU season.  New Mexico State, UCLA, UConn, Utah, Arizona State, Oregon, and Fresno State all offered him between July and September of 2014.

Adding to his prestigious list, Kansas is now jumping in the pool.  Unlike the majority of programs KU already has offered six Class of 2017 guys.

Locally based Mitchell Ballock might be the most likely to verbally commit early.

In addition, Michael Porter Jr., Cody Riley, Paul Scruggs, and Troy Brown Jr. each have the opportunity to play for the Jayhawks.
