Syracuse, NY (Future150) -- Syracuse has had a nice history of producing NBA guards over the past few years. If things shape up correctly, 2014 Cushing Academy (Mass.) point guard Kaleb Joseph could be next in line.
Joseph, who was on campus at Syracuse over the weekend, gave his pledge to the Orange on Saturday afternoon.
"I have officially decided to chase my dreams at Syracuse University and play for the Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim," Joseph announced on Twitter.
The 6-foot-3 point guard will bring a sense of scoring and controlling the tempo to the court in 2014-15 for Boeheim and his staff.
The Syracuse staff was hot on Joseph's trail the entire summer, and in the end, it paid off.
Providence and West Virginia were also in the picture for Joseph.
He joins Chris McCullough, the No. 11 overall player in the 2014 Future150 rankings, as the two commitments for the Syracuse class.
Joseph is ranked No. 66 nationally.
Comments:
Excellent match for Syracuse. Plenty of minutes available as Ennis’ backup. No other true PGs on the roster. Doubt if Ennis is a four year player anyway.
