Charlotte, NC (Future150) -- Justyn Hamilton was once thought of as a very raw prospect with his fantastic length and potential as an elite rim protector. Now the junior big man is certainly reaching after his potential, and schools are starting to notice.
He currently holds twelve offers from Charleston, Central Florida, ETSU, High Point, Kennesaw State, North Florida, Northwestern State, Ohio, Old Dominion, Toldeo, UNC-Greensboro, and VCU.
Hamilton has not only proved his worth as an elite rebounder and shot blocker but he has also really worked on his game on the offensive end. He has really worked on his ability to knock down the mid-range jumper along with his foot work in the post. However, he knows there is still work to be done on his game to really max out his potential.
"I really got to work on my ball handling and I need to continue to get stronger," Hamilton said.
If he is really committed to improve on these two things, this could take his game to the next level. Once Hamilton has the ability to handle the ball a little bit and get stronger to allow him to finish through contact easier, he will become even more valuable of a prospect as a big man.
With his recruitment really heating up recently, Hamilton wants to get a chance to gather more knowledge of these schools who have offered him.
"After the last session of the AAU season, I definitely want to get out on some unofficial visits," Hamilton said.
Hamilton is certainly a prospect to watch in the 2017 class he is seemingly just waiting to explode. Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track his recruitment throughout the rest of the AAU season.
