Temecula, CA (Future150) -- Heading into the spring, 2015 Temecula Valley (Cal.) combo guard Justin Simon was one of the more popular players on the recruiting circuit.
Several schools came into play, but there was one school that stuck out amongst the rest. On Tuesday, the 6-foot-5 guard made his commitment official to Arizona.
"It's always been my dream school and once they offered me, I knew it was the right fit because I love Arizona," Simon said. "It's a great program and a great coaching staff. I love everything about it; it's the style of play and the kind of system I'm looking for."
Simon chose Arizona over a host of other schools, including UCLA, Kansas, and Louisville.
Arizona head coach Sean Miller continues to patrol the West Coast, and, in particular, the neighboring state of California. As expected, he was extremely excited about the addition of Simon.
"Coach Miller was really excited. He told me that they love me and were looking for a guy as versatile as me. He thinks I'm a great fit for them and they're really happy to have me."
At his size, Simon impacts the game in all facets. He uses his length and athleticism to cause problems on defense, he can rebound with bigs, and he can the basketball.
Simon joins fellow guard Tyler Dorsey in what is a fantastic backcourt for Arizona in 2015.
Simon is currently a four-star prospect.
