Birmingham, AL (Future150) -- The future continues to look bright for Samford basketball. With the spring signing period set to begin this week, Bennie Seltzer and his staff reeled in another impressive prospect to add to their 2013 recruiting class.
After being on campus over the weekend, 2013 Vincennes (Ind.) JUCO big man Mike Bradley pledged to the Bulldogs; Bradley was originally at UConn prior to heading to junior college.
Overall, Samford brought the most comfort to Bradley and his family.
"Samford fits everything that I need in a school," he told Future150 Sunday night. "It's a place close to home to be near my grandmother. It's also a place that provides me with the best chance to get on the floor and play."
The 6-foot-10 big man was considering a handful of other schools, including Tennessee State, San Francisco, Penn State, Florida International, and Iowa State.
Bradley is yet another impressive prospect to head to Birmingham. It's becoming evident that Samford basketball is on the rise, and the newest addition to the program feels it coming, too.
"They already have some talented guys on the roster, and the recruiting coming in have a lot of potential as well. If we work hard, we should be one of the top teams in the Southern Conference."
Expect Bradley to sign sometime this week.
