Jacksonville, FL (Future150) -- A solid, reliable point guard is a coach’s dream. With the ability to make others better, a pass-first point guard can be valued as the most valuable player on the team.
Stanton College Prep (FL) point guard Ju-Ray Kuo falls into this category, as he has shown at the Future150 camp that he can make those around him better players. Kuo says he can be easy to play with, and most of his teammates will agree.
“My strength is team cooperation,” he told Future150. “I also feel like my shooting ability is a strength, too.”
With his Western descent, the 5-foot-9 guard finds an easy person to look up to and model his game after.
“I think I resemble Jeremy Lin because of the way he plays and his ability to run a team.”
Kuo knows he still has quite a way to go before he finds himself in Lin’s position, but with time, it could happen. For now, the sophomore is focused on competing for a state championship in Florida.
“The season is going well so far. I’m looking forward to competing for a championship, as well as individually trying to add scholarship offers,” he explained.
