He has some huge goals for the high school season that is fastly approaching.
"My goals for this year's high school basketball season are to help my seniors get scholarship offers, repeat as a state champion and Gatorade Player of the Year, and win Alabama Mr. Basketball."
Langford has received college interest from Alabama, Auburn, Arizona, Duke, Florida, Harvard, Louisville, Memphis, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, NC State, Providence, South Florida, Stanford, Tennessee, UAB, and Vanderbilt.
He tells Future150 that he claims offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, NC State, Providence, Tennessee, UAB, and Vanderbilt.
With all of that success with high-major interest, it doesn't change his attitude.
"It feels good to be known as a top player in the nation. It drives me to work harder in the gym and to want to be the best basketball player I can be," he said.
When asked about the funnest part of the recruiting process, he stated the obvious.
"It's just surreal to get to be recruited by the schools that I once watched on TV as a kid. I hope they recruit me one day. It's also fun to get to the know the coaches, assistants, and build relationships."
If he plans on becoming a great player and having a lengthy career, he'll have to model his game after some NBA greats. He let us know that he models his game after none other than LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.
He also labeled his strengths as a basketball player.
"My strengths are to be able to play all 1-3 positions on the court and to make players around me better. Also, being a well-rounded player both defensively and offensively. I'm also good at being able to get a bucket when my team needs one. I also can rebound on both ends and guard the 1-4 positions on defense and I can also create for others."
Josh also let us know a few things he'll need to improve on.
"Defensively, I need to work on my off-ball defense and also I need to work on having a killer mentality. But overall, I think if you want to be great, you have to have everything sharp and you can't have any weaknesses in your game. That separates the good from the great. I want to be great."
Joshua Langford has already shown the pure talent that he possesses. He will definitely be picking up more high-major interest in the future. It will be fun to see how the rest of his career plays out.
