Chicago, IL (Future150) -- Joshua Roberts is a SG out of Westinghouse high school in Chicago, Illinois. On Wedensday afternoon Roberts decided to make his decision on where he plans to play his college basketball at.
"I committed to Lewis (D2) because of the winning culture, and the extreme work ethic the program has," Roberts said. "Lewis was one of the first schools to recognize my potential and they are looking to develop my game even further."
Roberts also considered Arkansas Tech, Baton Rouge Community College, and Kirkwood Community College. At the end of the day Roberts felt very comfortable with the coaching staff and what their plans are for him.
"I love the coaching staff and how straight forward and direct they are," Roberts said. "They are looking for me to bring a mentally and physically tough style of play."
Roberts enjoyed a big time Senior year at Westinghouse and credits playing there and in the CPL to a lot of his success and toughness he has.
"It's been a tough four years at Westinghouse and playing in the Chicago Public League," Roberts said. "Despite the adversity, I turned many heads this season, and I'm proud to see my game coming to it's own."
Roberts will look to thrive in the system at Lewis, and could earn himself some D1 offers during the process if he plays up to his potential.
