Kings Mountain, NC (Future150) -- 2017 PF Josh Helton of Kings Mountain (NC) is a Future150 Alum of The Summit Camp, and has seen more than a handful of schools start to keep tabs on him this season.

Helton is a good sized four man standing at 6'8, and weighing nearly 200 pounds. His footwork and touch around the rim is very smooth and he can knock down mid-range jumpers with ease when he's left open. Overall he's a very smart player that should excel at the low/mid-major level of division one basketball.

He hasn't picked up an offer yet, but plenty of schools have been in his ear this season.

"I've been getting recruited by American, The Citadel, Cornell, Furman, Gardner-Webb, Lipscomb, and Winthrop," Helton said. "Cornell and Winthrop have been on me the heaviest. I haven't picked up an offer yet, but I think strong play in the playoffs will help me get my first one."

Whether or not Helton gets the offer soon, you have to think he starts picking them up along with new interest during the AAU season.

Helton has been smart with his recruitment and has already visited a few schools to get a good feel for them, incase an offer comes in the future. He is also planning on getting out to two more schools soon.

"I've already went and visited Furman and Winthrop," Helton said. "Plan on going up to Cornell and Lipscomb very soon."

Sounds like Helton's recruitment will be picking up quickly if things keep trending in the direction they are right now. Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track his recruitment closely as the high school season comes to a close, and the AAU season gets ramped up.
