New York, NY (Future150) -- One of the bigger breakout players of this spring had to be New Heights (NY) point guard Paul Jorgenson. A member of the 2014 class, Jorgenson is a bit of a combo guard in the regard that he is equally adept at scoring the ball as he is passing it. Perhaps the more impressive part of Jorgenson’s game is his uncanny ability to step up when his team needs him the most. Jorgenson was most clutch during the Philly Jamfest and the Rumble in the Bronx, where he led his team to the Finals and quarter-finals, respectively.
A majority of the mid-major programs in the northeast have been all over Jorgenson lately, but he listed offers from Fordham, Bucknell, George Washington, Vermont, Fairfield, Wagner, and Florida International. Creighton and St. Joe’s are among the programs showing interest.
“The Rumble is one of my favorite parts of summer, it’s the best part,” Jorgenson said. “I’ve put in a lot of work and it feels really good to be recognized,” He added. At his high school, Don Bosco Prep, Jorgensen maintains an 85 average, making him a potential target for high academic programs as well.
“I’m looking for a school that has good academics and a place that I can get better,” Jorgensen said, Look for the New Heights lead guard to continue to rack up offers during the upcoming live period.
