Arlington, TX (Future150) -- Despite it only being the summer, time is beginning to run out for rising seniors to make their college decisions. With the summer about to fly by, the Fall signing period will be here before we know it.

With that being said, Jordan Mickey (Class of 2013, Grace Prep High School, Tex.) is looking to narrow his long list of schools down. To manage his list of 30-40 offers, Mickey and his father have been taking visits as of late.

“We are just getting out to see a bunch of schools while we can,” Mickey’s father, James Wright explained. “We definitely will have a short list by the end of July.”

So far this spring, the 6-foot-8 forward has visited Louisville, SMU, LSU, Ohio State and Kentucky, but more are on the way.

“We are planning to stop by West Virginia on the way to the NBPA Top 100 Camp in Virginia,” Wright said.

Kansas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma and others are also involved at this point.

While he doesn’t currently hold an offer from Kentucky, the Wildcats are an extreme player. When asked if they were cutting down there list today if UK would make the short list, Wright responded with the following:

"Kentucky would most definitely be on the short-list. We would be crazy not to have them. It's a great program. Louisville and Kansas were nice, but Kentucky was very special.”
