Rancho Cucamonga, CA (Future150) -- On Wednesday, Andy Enfield landed the biggest recruit since arriving at USC and the highest rated recruit of his tenure as a head coach.
Jordan McLaughlin has decided to stay on the west coast and picked the Trojans over UCLA, Indiana, and Kansas. He gives the Trojans a pass-first guard who will have the opportunity to run the show from day one.
"USC fits my style perfectly," McLaughlin told Future150.com. "It is a great program."
McLaughlin should pair nicely with the guards already on the Trojans roster. He has the ability to get to the rim whenever he wants and will be able to create shots for himself and his teammates around him.
He fits Enfield's system and should thrive in the up-tempo pace he employs. He joins Malik Price-Martin as the second member of the recruiting class.
With two more scholarships left, there is plenty of room to add players. Dante Buford, Malik Pope, Namon Wright, and Trey Kell are all major targets left in the 2014 class.
"The program is on the come up," he assured.
Look for the Trojans to add a couple of pieces to this class. With Malik Pope recently breaking his leg for the second time in eight months, it would appear that his recruitment will drag out into the spring.
