Bay Minette, AL (Future150) -- The recruiting trail has come to a close for 2013 Faulkner State (Ala.) JUCO shooting guard Jordan Bowling. After a long recruitment, the sharpshooter has decided to take his talents close to home at the University of North Alabama.
In the end, several factors at UNA matched up with Bowling's criteria for a future school.
"It's close to home and I just feel like it is the right place for me right now," Bowling told Future150.com following his commitment. "I like all the coaches and get along with the players, and I just enjoyed the whole atmosphere."
The 6-foot-6 wing has been known as a shooter for much of his young career, but he has also evolved into a solid player on the perimeter.
"I know I can help rebound from the wing and knock down shots, as well as using my athleticism. I can make an impact for the team," he explained.
Bowling also held offers from Southern Arkansas and Stillman University, along with interest from Mercer, Southern, Oregon State, Missouri State, Southeast Missouri State, and South Alabama.
He averaged 12 points per game at Faulkner during his sophomore season.
