Los Angeles, CA (Future150) -- Stanley Johnson has done a lot in the past year to improve his game, as his rise in the rankings has shown. But one thing that didn’t change over the course of a year was his college leader.
Arizona and Sean Miller have made the 6-foot-6 wing their priority for the 2014 class, and in the end, it paid off.
Friday afternoon, Johnson chose Arizona over Kentucky and USC.
Johnson’s connection to the Oakland Soldiers also was a big factor, as Arizona has Nick Johnson, Brandon Ashley, and Aaron Gordon on the team.
“I’m friends with Brandon and Aaron, so yeah, it makes Arizona appealing. They answer any question I have,” Johnson said in a previous interview.
Johnson joins Craig Victor, Parker Jackson-Cartwright, and Kadeem Allen, a JUCO guard.
The Wildcats could also land another player in this class, as Miller stated earlier in the week that he expected to sign “4 or 5 recruits” during the signing period.
Justise Winslow could be the next domino to fall for Arizona.
