Chicago, IL (Future150) -- The first chapter is ending for Brandon Johnson. His second basketball home has been chosen.
"After a long few weeks of talking with my family I decided to continue my basketball career at Western Michigan," said Johnson on Twitter earlier this evening.
University of Illinois-Chicago was a real competitor for Western Michigan. In fact, Johnson took an official visit to UIC September 26th.
Western Michigan has closed out their 2016 class. Already committed: Jared Printy, Jarrin Randall, and Adida Ikongshul.
Johnson is a springy face-up combo forward. He can rebound defensively. He probably will defend the post in the MAC. His mid-range shooting and slashing are strengths. Johnson is also very capable of scoring out on the break.
