Katy, TX (Future150) -- Class of 2020 G/F Jayden Collymore of Cinco Ranch (TX) has been a familiar face at Future150's exposure events for the past few years. Our staff has watched him grow and become a much better player since he was a rising eighth grader. Now a sophomore, standing 6'4", he looks like he's ready to shine.
"My strengths are being able to push the ball and score easily in transition on a consistent basis," Collymore said. "I take pride on the defensive end at all times because I believe it is key to being a great player."
He has grown enough now to have solid size and length on the wing and he knows how to work smaller, weaker defenders in the post because of how much time he has spent playing on the block in previous years. His improved jumper and ball-handling abilities has boosted his stock, as he contains a highly versatile skill set.
"My improved handles allow me to get around my defenders much easier," Collymore said. "My court vision and awareness help me see and get the ball to the open man."
As of now, Collymore hasn't seen any interest from any college programs at any level, but expect that to change after another big season of high school and AAU basketball.
Continue to follow along with Future150 as we continue to track Collymore and many other of our Alumni in the southwest regions.
