Aiken, SC (Future150) -- Prior to his play at the King James Southern Exposure event in late April Javis Howard was not even thinking about the possibility of receiving interest from colleges.
Now, things are beginning to change. On Friday, the 6-foot-7 forward out of Irmo High School (SC) picked up his first scholarship offer.
"Radford called and just offered me," Howard said by text Friday. "I've also heard from High Point, Furman, and Miami (OH) today."
Howard has added interest from twenty-or-so colleges since the first live period in April. From Samford to Virginia Tech, schools have taken notice, and only more will come.
"It feels great to get the first offer," the rising junior began. "I still haven't wrapped my head completely around it. I can really say hard work does pay off."
This will be the first of many offers for this humble athlete. Expect him to have a big July with the Upward Stars (SC).
