Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- Entering the weekend, Florida State did not hold a 2013 commitment; a few days later, they now have two quality players to begin their class.
A day after landing 2013 Canadian combo guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Leonard Hamilton stayed hot on the recruiting trail.
Sunday night, Jarquez Smith, a 6-foot-9 forward out of Jones County (GA), made his commitment to Hamilton and the Seminoles following a weekend visit to Tallahassee.
“The atmosphere was amazing,” Smith told Future150.com on Sunday. “The coaches and players were outstanding.”
“The fans are unbelievable,” he also noted.
Smith chose Florida State over the in-state Georgia Bulldogs.
With a stellar recruiting weekend, Florida State now has commitments from two players in the top 100 in the 2013 Future150 rankings.
Expect the Seminoles to continue to build a solid class around these great players.
