Greensboro, NC (Future150) -- With his talent, JaQuel Richmond typically makes a big splash on the basketball court. However, on Saturday he made a splash by announcing the cutting of his college list to four schools.
"I am down to Tennessee, Florida State, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M," he told Future150.com. "No particular order."
The 6-foot guard also discussed what he likes about each respective school.
Tennessee: "With Tennessee, it's the coaching staff. Me and Coach [Cuonzo] Martin have a strong relationship with one another."
Florida State: "Coach [Leonard] Hamilton and I have been talking and we are also building a strong relationship."
Oklahoma State: "Oklahoma State has been recruiting me from the start. Coach [Travis] Ford played point guard, and he has a good feel for point guards when it comes to recruiting."
Texas A&M: "Texas A&M has been recruiting me hard over the past school year. Coach [Andy] Kennedy and his staff contact me once a week. They run their offense through their point guard."
Richmond has yet to decide when he will make a decision.
