Memphis, TN (Future150) -- Buzz Williams is building quite the class up in Milwaukee.  Already having secured 2013 commitments of Duane Wilson, Deonte Burton, Jameel McKay, and John Dawson, Marquette went out and snagged Memphis shooting guard prospect JaJuan Johnson over the weekend.

The 6’5” scoring wing chose the Golden Eagles over Alabama and Miami (FL), and his addition could prove to be a big one for Williams and his staff.

Known for putting up big numbers with both his Southwind High School team and his Bluff City Legends AAU squad, Johnson has a knack for putting the ball in the basket.  He’s one of those guys who you watch and immediately recognize that scoring comes natural to him.  Owning an explosive first step and a great offensive feel, Johnson knows how to manufacture his own shot and can score it from different areas on the floor.

As he gains strength and further develops his playmaking ability off the dribble, Johnson will become even more efficient and should prove to be a very reliable player in the Big East.  Team him up with an affective point guard in Wilson and an explosive, max-effort wing in Burton, and you have a backcourt built for the future at Marquette.

Johnson is ranked #48 in the Future150 2013 rankings, and this recruiting win demonstrates even more Buzz Williams’ value and ability as a recruiter.
