Hackensack, NJ (Future150) -- Class of 2018 PG Jahvon Quinerly of Hudson Catholic (NJ) has been a hot prospect up north for quite some time now. Lately, he has been gaining more national recognition as schools like New Mexico, Virginia, and VCU traveled to New Jersey to evaluate him lately.
Quinerly holds offers from Cincinnati, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rider, Seton Hall, St. Johns, Tennessee, and Villanova.
Jahvon recently took some unofficial visits, that all seemed to go pretty well. The visits to Villanova and Seton Hall seemed to really stick out to Quinerly.
"Villanova was a big time experience, the dunk contest was great and I got to see Big Sean perform," Quinerly said. "I really like the coaching staff down there."
Villanova certainly has had a good history of landing some big time guards the past few years with guys like Darrun Hilliard, Tyrone Johnson, Ryan Arcidiacono, Phil Booth, and the latest with Jalen Brunson. Could Quinerly be the next in line? Maybe, but it sounds like Seton Hall is working even harder to land Jahvon's services.
"The Seton Hall visit was a great experience," said Quinerly. "I really enjoyed the atmosphere. They are recruiting me the hardest right now."
Villanova's on-court success excedes Seton Hall lately. Still, Seton Hall has ramped up recruiting. Former signings like Aaron Cosby, Jaren Sina, Khadeem Carrington, and Isaiah Whitehead come to mind.
Both of these schools could be on Quinerly's final list. Both seem to be off to a great start.
Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track Jahvon's progress during his Sophomore season at Hudson Catholic.
