Houston, TX (Future150) -- One of the most overused words used in sports today is the word "potential". However, it fits 2018 guard Jaedon LeDee perfectly. The 6'3 combo guard is a player to remember over the next few years for those around the greater Houston area.

LeDee is looking to follow in the footsteps of players from Texas such as Marcus Smart (Oklahoma State), Emmanuel Mudiay (SMU Commit), and the Harrison twins (Kentucky). All are "big-bodied" guards who can score at will, and he is hoping to become that type of player.

A certified gym rat, LeDee is working hard to seperate himself from the pack. Not many kids have the opportunity to say that their father is one of the best trainers in Houston, but the 2018 prospect takes full advantage of it.

"I am extremely family oriented. When it comes to basketball, my dad guides me through it all," Jaedon commented.

With his father Herb being such an instrumental figure in his basketball development, Jaedon gets a daily reminder of the things he needs to continue to improve on.

"As I get older, I know I need to get stronger. Especially to play at the level I want to play at. As for my skill level, I think that is my best attribute. I feel like I can shoot the ball well, I like to use my length, my ball handling and court vision are also improving, and being a factor on the boards is a big focus
of mine."

While it is too early to name a leader in his recruitment, LeDee is interested in schools such as Baylor, Clemson, Texas, Colorado, UCLA, and Kentucky. All of which are strong possibilities if Jaedon continues to work at his game.

"I really like his game. When comparing his game to other elite players in his age group, Jaedon shows great fundamentals and will only get better with time. He is doing the right things to make himself a factor later in the game. While others might reach their peak around this age, I firmly believe Jaedon is just hitting his stride. He could be really special," added Adam Barnes, a Future150 scout with ties in the Houston area.

Speaking of growing, there is no denying that LeDee will likely continue to grow. Just how much? No one really knows, but we expect it to be a few more inches, at the least.

"There is no guarantee on how big Jae will be. But there is a good chance he will end up in the 6'7 range. As of now, at the age of 14, he wears a size 16 shoe," Jaedon's father, Herb added.

Stay with Jr. Future150 as we continue to watch this exciting prospect out of Texas.
