Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- Jacksonville University landed a significant commitment on Monday night, picking up 2014 power forward Amir Warnock of Peachtree Ridge (GA).
The 6-foot-8 post picked the Dolphis over Savannah State, Tennesee State, Marshall and several other schools.
He is a skilled low post prospect who had a solid summer playing with the Southern Kings. He has soft hands, good feet, and rebounds well on both ends of the floor.
In terms of his future, there is a a lot of room for growth in his game. As he gains confidence and becomes tougher, he will be a tough player to stop in the post in the Atlantic Sun Conference, and in the long run, prove to be an undervalued recruit from his high school playing days.
Don't be surprised to see him build on his summer momentum and turn in a big senior season in Georgia.
