New York, NY (Future150) -- It's never a bad thing to be prepared, just ask Isaiah Whitehead.
Tuesday night, Whitehead (Class of 2014, Lincoln HS, New York) decided to save himself and other schools recruiting him some time. He has cut his list to ten schools.
The four-star prospect is now down to Syracuse, Kentucky, UCLA, St. John's, Arizona, Maryland, Florida, Kansas, Louisville, and Rutgers, in no specific order.
"Those schools are the ones that are recruiting me the hardest," he told Future150.com. "I can also really see myself there."
Much has been made about the recent commitment of Chris McCullough to Syracuse. To popular belief, Whitehead is now the top target for Jim Boeheim. However, we will know where the Orange set with the 6-foot-4 guard next spring.
"I will probably cut my list again during AAU, then I will have a decision about this time of my senior year."
Whitehead has no plans to take any visits at this time.
The New York product is ranked No. 36 overall in the 2014 Future150 rankings.
