Fayetteville, NC (Future150) -- Immanuel Bates is a 2018 big man out of Fayetteville, North Carolina that runs with Team Loaded NC 16's on the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit. Bates has been showing his potential and proving his worth to plenty of coaches that have been watching him on the Gauntlet.
"I believe that the colleges have really seen my energy on the court," Bates said. "In terms of my (hustle), defensive presence, and abilities to use the screen and roll (effectively)."
Four weeks ago Bates didn't list one school on his offer list, now he has offers from Cincinnati, James Madison, Old Dominion, Richmond, and VCU.
For those of you who haven't seen Bates play he is a long, agile big man that can run the floor extremely well. His elite length allows him to protect the rim at all times and he cleans up the glass on both ends of the floor. There is certainly still plenty of room for growth and development, but the potential he has as a versatile 4/5 man is scary.
"I know I need to continue to get stronger and improve on my footwork in the post," Bates said.
If Bates can develop his offensive skill set and continue to bulk up, his list should stay fresh with new offers rolling in. Continue to follow along with Future150 as we track his development and recruitment process.
