Seattle, WA (Future150) -- On Tuesday evening, the Washington Huskies landed the top 2015 prospect in the state, locking up Rainier Beach (WA) shooting guard Dejounte Murray.
The 6-foot-4 wing is a huge addition for the Huskies. Not only is he a local kid electing to stay in state, but he has untapped potential and is one of the highest upside prospects nationally in his class.
He picked the Huskies over scholarship offers from Gonzaga, California, Oregon and several other top West Coast programs.
He is an extremely active wing on both ends of the floor and uses his skills and length to fill up the stat sheet. Last season, he averaged 18 points, 11.5 rebounds & 8 assists per game for Rainier Beach while helping to lead them to a 29-1 record and a class 3A state championship
Currently ranked as the #87 prospect in the class, he should see a bump in the rankings after a solid spring on the Nike EYBL circuit with the Northwest Xpress.
He joins fellow top 150 prospects in point guard David Crisp and power forward Marquese Chriss.
