Bunker Hill, IN (Future150) -- Sunday Wyatt Hughes received an offer from the University of Toledo.  The offer came after Hughes participated in Toledo’s Elite Camp.

The versatile forward feels that his recent offer won’t make a difference on his mindset, but rather it will keep him focused on what is next to come.

“My determination to keep working on my game and becoming a better overall player has increased,” he said. “I’ve always been confident in my ability to play the game because God has blessed me with the ability to play.  It hasn’t changed my mindset.  I’m humble with the opportunities that have been presented to me.”

Some other schools that have shown interest in Hughes are Kent State, Western Illinois, IPFW, and the University of Denver.

“I don’t have a top list,” he explained. “It's’s still early in my recruitment process.”

Hughes credits a lot of his success to his current coach, Fonso White, and his previous coach, Omar Dillard.

“I have had tremendous help and encouragement from my AAU coaches, and I can’t thank them enough,” said Hughes.

Hughes’ AAU coach, Fonso White, has seen a great improvement in the budding star’s shooting range.  Also, Hughes' understanding of his ability to help the team be successful has also improved greatly over the past couple months.

While it is hard for many players to remain focused after receiving an offer from a division one university, Wyatt Hughes has remained focused and his coach sees much improvement in his game.

“He’s determined to keep improving his overall game,” Fonso White said. “He understands that he has to do a lot more agility work.”

Wyatt Hughes has a bright future ahead of him and he has a great mindset to keep his success rolling on.
