Decatur, TX (Future150) -- Mason Hix is currently flying under-the-radar a little bit, but that may not continue for much longer. The sophomore combo forward averaged around 15 points and 10 rebounds this year, as he helped lead Decatur to a decent season.
While he has turned some heads in Texas, he jumped onto the Future150 radar much earlier in his career. Hix attended the Jr. Future150 Houston camp in 2014, and played his way into an invite to the Elite 24, where he proved to be one of the best players in attendence.
Now, he stands at 6-foot-7 and projects as a stretch-four at the next level. With a decent shooting stroke and in innate ability to rebound, Hix will be able to be used at a number of different positions. Despite it being early in his career, Hix has begun the recruitment process as well.
"I've heard from UT-Arlington and TCU a little bit," said Hix.
Expect that list to grow in the coming months, as Hix will suit up with Urban DFW and play on the Adidas Gauntlet this AAU season. Follow along with Future150 as we continue to track the talented four-man's progress.
