Bronx, NY (Future150) -- Every winter, a number of prospects use the start of their final high school seasons to boost their stock considerably. For Mount Zion Academy (MD) guard TeShaun Hightower, the recruitment process has really taken off.
"I see myself playing point guard at the next level, I can see the floor well, I can dribble and kick or score the ball, and I can play defense," said Hightower of his game.
Georgia, Utah, La Salle, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Seton Hall, Saint Louis, Oklahoma and N.C. State have been the latest schools to begin to recruit him, with UGA, La Salle, Saint Louis and N.C. State already extending offers.
The Billikens and Seton Hall were both in attendence at the City Legendz Invitational, where Hightower picked apart a talented Our Savior Lutheran team with his ability to score and a number of high-level passes.
At 6-foot-5, 180 pounds Hightower has elite size for a point guard. While he is still adjusting to smaller guards pressuring him, his ability to find teammates will allow him to create scoring opportunities for almost everyone at the next level.
With a few months until the spring signing period, there will likely be a number of programs that jump in for his services before he ultimately makes his decision. He has proved to be one of the best available combo guards in the country and his recruitment should reflect that shortly.
