Trenton, NJ (Future150) -- Coming into the season, people were well aware of the star prospect playing for Trenton Catholic (NJ), Syracuse bound junior wing Malachi Richardson.
However, there is another prospect who has proven to be a lethal scorer for Catholic in the form of sophomore shooting guard Myles Powell.
The 6-footer has shown the ability to be one of the most impressive scoring guards in the country for the 2016 class, which he displayed to Future150 at the 2014 Primetime Shootout.
In an upset win over New Jersey power St. Anthony at the event, our analysts had this to say about the guard afterward:
"The breakout performer of the weekend was the 6-foot sharpshooter. In the upset of the day, Trenton Catholic (NJ) took down St. Anthony's (NJ) 51-50 behind 27 points and MVP honors from Powell. Not only is he an elite shooter, but he is excellent while playing off the ball and creating shooting space for himself. Expect offers to start rolling in for him soon."
Now that the high school season is over, the New Jersey Playaz guard is expecting a big season on the circuit. With Temple, Drexel, Rutgers, Seton Hall & Rider already interested, it won't take much longer for his recruitment to go from regional to national.
Look for the big time shooter on the circuit this spring, where Future150 will be monitoring his recruitment throughout.
