Philadelphia, PA (Future150) -- Hudson Catholic is one of the youngest and most dangerous teams in northern New Jersey and sophomore guard Luther Muhammad has a lot to do with that.
At 6-foot-4, he has decent athleticism and a natural ability to put the ball in the basket. During a game against Newmann-Goretti (PA), Muhammad put up 24 points against a number of fellow division one bound guards.
Muhammad followed that performance up against another New Jersey powerhouse in The Patrick School. With the way the high school season is going, he is proving to be one of the top 2018 prospects in New Jersey.
St. John's offered yesterday, joining the likes of Pitt, Seton Hall, Virginia, Notre Dame, Cincy and Rutgers. The Red Storm hosted Muhammad for their game against Georgetown, and watched him the day after. The program has that they will keep the recruiting emphasis locally, and Muhammad is one of the best prospects in the area.
There is still a ton of time for his recruitment to play out, but if this high school season is any indication, Muhammad will have plenty more programs to choose from.
