Charlottesville, VA (Future150) -- Prior to heading to the NBPA Top 100 Camp, 2014 Albertville, Alabama small forward Riley Norriswho is ranked #37 according to Future150, traveled to Gainesville for an unofficial visit to Florida. While it was a long drive, it was well worth it.

At the conclusion of his visit, Florida head man Billy Donovan extended a scholarship to the 6-foot-7 shooter.

“My visit to Florida went really well. I got to sit down and talk to Coach [Billy] Donovan and his staff and he offered me a scholarship,” Norris told Future150.com. “He told me he thought I could play there, and I would be a good fit for his system.”

Florida is a great program, but the fact that the Alabama native has been fond of the school since the Joakim Noah and Al Horford days only boosts the Gators up.

“It was one of the offers I wanted since I was a little kid. This means a lot,” Norris said of his latest offer.

Prior to going to Florida, Norris also visited Vanderbilt, another school he is very high on.

“I like their coaching staff and campus. I’ve been there before for a game, and they have great fans and great fan support.

Vanderbilt, UAB, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida State and Alabama are among the other schools that have offered to this point. Michigan, Indiana, Wichita State, and Kansas have all put in calls to say they will be following in July.

North Carolina’s Hubert Davis is the latest school to reach out on Monday; “they said they need an elite shooter in the 2014 class,” says Norris’ father, Eddie.

Norris showed off a very impressive shooting touch in skill sessions and live game-play at the Top 100 camp. With a big July of shooting and showcasing his game, the rising senior may add a few more offers before all is said and done.
