Winston-Salem, NC (Future150) -- The Demon Deacons have gotten their main target in the class of 2013, forward Greg McClinton. McClinton is a big-time target for Wake due to the fact that he was a top 100 recruit.

McClinton also lives just a short drive away from Wake Forest, making landing him all the more important for the program.

McClinton is a big-time athlete that is a welcome upgrade in talent level that Wake needs in order to be truly competitive in the ACC again. He had a strong showing at the NBPA Camp this past week and held offers from the likes of UConn, Alabama, Mizzou, N.C. State, Virginia Tech, Xavier and Cincinnati.

As far as what he will bring to the court, McClinton is a forward who can knock down the perimeter jumper, as well as finish well above the rim.

Defensively, he can guard multiple positions due to his length and quickness. While he will need to work on his ball handling a bit, he is still the type of player that will help Wake back to national relevance sooner rather than later.

Next season McClinton will suit up with Hargrave Military Academy (VA), the same school that fellow CP3 All-Star teammate Montrezl Harrell played for last season.

At Hargrave, Harrell really improved his game and was one of the most sought after players in the spring signing period after he decommitted from Virginia Tech. Look for McClinton to continue to improve and flourish at Hargrave before he heads to Wake Forest.
