Columbia, SC (Future150) -- Class of 2016 PF Chevez Goodwin of Hammond School (SC) has been making plans to sign with Charleston as soon as he verbally committed.
"I will be signing on Wednesday," said Goodwin.
Chevez will make it official with the College of Charleston on Wednesday afternoon, as he will sign his National Letter of Intent to play basketball in the Holy City.
Charleston looks like they will only have three guys coming in next year with Chevez, Brevin Galloway, and Zep Jasper but all are expected to make a fantastic impact on the program.
Goodwin has always felt Charleston was the place for him, and seems very comfortable headed into signing day.
"When I first committed to Charleston, it had a family-like feel to it," Goodwin said. "And the fact that it is close to home is great."
Goodwin is ready to prove some points once his career begins at Charleston.
"It's going to be a great opprtunity to put my state on the map, and show that South Carolina is more than just a football state," Goodwin said.
The coaching staff has to be excited for Chevez as they picked up his committment after fighting off a number of schools who wanted Goodwin on their team as well.
Overall the feelings are probably pretty mutual between the two heading into signing day.
"I just really can't wait to be there."
