Atlanta, GA (Future150) -- Coming into Georgia Tech from Dayton, head coach Brian Gregory has made an effort to recruit the states top players. On Saturday night he landed yet another one in 2013 guard Solomon Poole.
The talented player sited the fact that his brother Stacey, a former Kentucky Wildcat, transferring to Georgia Tech had a major impact on his decision. With the addition of the Pooles the future looks bright for Georgia Tech.
Gregory has made strides in the state, most notably landing 2012 big man Robert Carter, and will look to build on a strong start with his 2013 class. Poole admitted that he would have ended up at UCLA if he wasn't going to Georgia Tech. He also held offers from Memphis, Louisville, Georgia, and more.
Now Georgia Tech will turn its efforts to landing a couple of big men and possibly another guard as they need to upgrade the talent level of their team as a whole. The addition of Poole is a great start, look for him to have an impact as soon as he arrives on campus and for him to try to peruade some of the state's top guys to join him.
